Payment and Cancellation

Payment is expected on the day of service. You may pay in cash or by credit, debit, or HSA card. I will collect your card information as part of the intake process and will charge your card on the morning of your scheduled appointment unless you let me know that you prefer to pay in cash.

If you must cancel an appointment, kindly give two business days’ notice. Appointments cancelled with less notice, and which cannot be rescheduled within the same week, incur the full fee for the session.

Confidentiality

The law protects the relationship between a client and a psychotherapist. Your information cannot be disclosed without your written permission.

There are a few legal exceptions:
• Suspected abuse of a child, an elder or a dependent adult. I am required by law to report this to the relevant authorities immediately.
• If a client is threatening serious bodily harm to another person or persons, I am required by law to notify the police and inform the intended victim.
• If a client intends to harm himself or herself, I will make every effort to enlist their cooperation in ensuring their safety. If this is unsuccessful I may take further measures without their permission that are provided to me by law in order to promote their safety.

Everything that we are in a positive sense is by virtue of some limitation.
